Senior Project Manager for Electric Steelmaking

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Electric Steelmaking projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they meet financial, quality, and schedule targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities within ongoing projects.
  • Negotiate with stakeholders on change requests and incorporate them into contracts.
  • Manage project risks by identifying and assessing all risk factors using available risk assessment tools.
  • Monitor project status continuously, early identify discrepancies, and initiate mitigation measures where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with your team to achieve project goals.
  • Agree targets with the team and delegate defined responsibilities and authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with valid regulations, rules, and standards.
  • Ensure efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive project closure and ensure all relevant information is filed and available for future projects.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of management experience in complex construction and plant building projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of EAF-related engineering and technology to understand technical implications.
  • Advanced knowledge in project management methods and tools, know-how of contract law and regulations for project business.
  • Work experience in international teams.
  • Willingness for travels and site delegations.
  • Advanced knowledge in English and German.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • High integrity in dealing with others.
  • Quality-oriented and structured work approach.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Distinguished conflict management skills.
