Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-focused Student Research Assistant to become a vital member of our Customer Insights team. In this role, you will be instrumental in organizing and executing customer research initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include defining statistical samples, extracting data from our databases, and performing comprehensive analyses of the collected data. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Support the organization and execution of customer research initiatives, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Sample Size Determination: Identify and establish suitable sample sizes for research projects, guaranteeing representative and precise data.
  • Data Extraction and Interpretation: Retrieve pertinent data from our databases using SQL and conduct thorough statistical analyses to uncover trends and insights.
  • Survey Development: Create and program surveys in our research tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey) to collect valuable customer feedback.
  • Presentation of Findings: Compile and present research results clearly and concisely, aiding internal stakeholders in their decision-making processes.
  • Supplementary Research: Conduct desk research to enhance customer insights and support the overarching market research strategy.
  • Administrative Support: Provide logistical and administrative assistance to the Customer Insights team, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Statistical Methodology: Utilize quantitative market research techniques and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) to analyze survey data, deriving meaningful conclusions that align with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program in Psychology, Statistics, Social Sciences, Business Studies, or a related field with an emphasis on market research.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German or other languages is advantageous.
  • Technical Competencies:
    • Basic understanding of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
    • Familiarity with survey platforms such as Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, or similar tools.
    • Initial experience with statistical analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, R, or comparable programs.
  • Research Acumen: Knowledge of quantitative market research methodologies and descriptive statistics.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
