Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr IT Support Engineer to join our Corporate IT Technical Support function based in Linz.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our employees to enable their digital work life. You will monitor communication channels and ticket systems, work on incident and service request qualification and resolution, and escalate unsolvable incidents to backend teams.

You will make use of techniques and automation to install, configure, and deploy leading-edge devices for our modern workstations. You will also prepare digital collaboration tools, meeting room, and conference area equipment for events.

You will understand and evaluate the IT needs of our employees, support user training activities, and ensure accuracy of hardware asset information. You will also support the implementation of local/regional projects as part of global programs.

As a Sr IT Support Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues in IT process-, service-, technology-, and license- management. You will create and analyze reports, support annual fixed asset updates, and document standard operating procedures in the knowledge base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and deploy leading-edge devices
  • Prepare digital collaboration tools and equipment
  • Understand and evaluate IT needs of employees
  • Support user training activities
  • Ensure accuracy of hardware asset information
  • Support implementation of local/regional projects

Requirements:

  • Completed IT education and practical experience in IT support
  • Ability to troubleshoot and accurately diagnose IT related issues
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and service orientation
  • Experience in monitoring and tracking daily IT support business
  • Knowledge in Microsoft environment (OS, AD, M365, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Apple or Linux environment is advantageous
  • Basic expertise in infrastructure environment (network, etc.)
  • Experience in working with globally distributed IT teams
  • ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus
