Global Procurement Specialist for Embedded Solutions

The Opportunity
We're seeking a Global Procurement Specialist for Embedded Solutions to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you'll play a critical role in driving cost optimization, supplier management, and strategic cooperation with global category teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Cost Optimization: Ensure cost-effective strategies for main product groups/categories, considering total costs of ownership, turnover rates, and delivery performance.
- Supplier Management: Search, select, classify, develop, implement, and assess suppliers to drive professional partnerships.
- Market Analysis and Escalation Management: Proactively monitor market trends and escalate issues as necessary.
- R&D and Procurement Interface: Evaluate new technologies and products in collaboration with R&D and procurement teams.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead complex negotiations and manage contracts effectively.
- Risk and Strategy Management: Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies for assigned product groups/categories.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data, control spending, and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Completed Commercial and Technical Training, such as industrial engineering.
- Several Years of Relevant Professional Experience in international purchasing.
- Market Knowledge and Experience in embedded products or EMS services.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications and experience with SAP module MM (an advantage).
- Excellent Language Skills in German and English.
- Diplomatic and Assertive Personality with strong negotiating skills.
