Overview of the Position

This pivotal role within the Human Resources division serves as a strategic HR Partner for a specific organizational segment at Global Blue.

The individual in this position is responsible for the effective execution of both group and local initiatives, while also providing mentorship to designated AVPs, Senior Managers, Managers, and Team Leads. The role involves supporting the Country HR Partner in engaging with senior leadership (including ExCom members, Managing Directors, and VPs) as well as the Workers Council. The HR Partner plays an integral role throughout the employee life cycle, encompassing successful onboarding, ongoing development, retention, and professional transitions. This position also ensures exceptional support for employees and collaborates closely with all external stakeholders to address HR matters aligned with organizational needs.

As a client-facing role, credibility is established through fulfilling commitments, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating professionalism by delivering timely and accurate information in a proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Collaboration with Business: Engages proactively with key stakeholders to foster strong relationships and support the implementation of HR services in accordance with the Country HR Roadmap and corporate culture; addresses sensitive matters, offers guidance, and ensures compliance with legal standards. HR Partnership: Provides expert advice on HR policies, processes, and best practices; manages intricate employee relations issues and conflict resolution within the framework of local legal regulations. Expertise in Local Labor Law and Collective Bargaining: Ensures that all HR activities, including employment contracts, leave requests, terminations, and disciplinary actions, comply with local labor laws and relevant collective agreements; offers guidance and expert counsel to managers and employees. Management of Employee Life Cycle: Oversees and manages all facets of the employee life cycle, ensuring adherence to local labor regulations. Collaboration with Workers Council: Works closely with the Workers Council to cultivate strong relationships and promote a positive work environment through collaborative problem-solving. Implementation of Projects: Leads the local execution of HR projects in alignment with the Country HR Roadmap. Management of HR Processes: Oversees all HR functions within the designated HR management system; provides technical support to managers and employees, ensuring compliance.

Key Performance Indicators

Provides support to people managers and acts as a collaborative partner. Successfully implements group and local HR initiatives. Ensures adherence to HR processes related to the employee life cycle. Conducts regular audits of HR processes and offers analysis and recommendations.

Required Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of local labor law and its applications. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience in effective collaboration with Workers Councils. Familiarity with HR management systems is advantageous. Proficient in both German and English. Exceptional written communication skills. Strong time management abilities, with a knack for organization, multitasking, and prioritization.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

University degree, preferably in human resources or business psychology. Certification in local labor law. Additional training in HR-related fields (e.g., employment law, coaching, organizational development). Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role as HR Partner or HR Generalist within a complex international setting. Proven success in collaborating within highly intricate organizations. Experience interacting at all management levels.
