We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our team as a Doctoral Researcher at the Institut Für Höhere Studien.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct advanced scientific research in the field of digital platforms and social inequality, with a focus on work, relationships, and affect.
- Develop and pursue a dissertation project on a topic related to the gig-economy or dating, analyzing processes of identity building and community formation in the virtual world.
- Co-design and co-write grant applications to secure funding for research projects.
- Engage in independent policy advice and communicate research findings to the scientific community and the public.
- Master's degree in social sciences or a related discipline (e.g., sociology, digital humanities, computational social science, science and technology studies, psychology).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good command of German is an advantage.
