We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our production kitchen in Vienna. As a specialist in Chinese cuisine, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Chinese cuisine section, supervising and leading a team of chefs, and training and mentoring them in Indian cuisine techniques, ingredients, and cooking methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Managing stock and ordering supplies, including authentic Indian ingredients, to ensure freshness and quality
  • Continually reviewing and improving processes to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of output
  • Ensuring timely delivery of food while maintaining high levels of quality and consistency
  • Managing and training a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Maintaining high levels of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Traveling to international events
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in high-end operations cooking Indian cuisine
  • In-depth knowledge of Chinese ingredients, techniques, and flavors
  • Experience in managing a team of kitchen staff
  • Ability to create and develop menus that showcase traditional and innovative Chinese cuisine
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with Chinese a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
