Technical Director for Iron and Steel Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our Iron and Steel operations at VACE Engineering GmbH. The successful candidate will have experience in technical functions and be able to oversee the technical aspects of our projects.
About the Job- Analyze technical documents, including manufacturing standards and commercial terms from customer contracts, to inform project decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering and technology departments to prepare project-related tender documents.
- Select the best supplier based on project requirements and work closely with purchasing and project management teams.
- Closely monitor supplier progress and ensure quality activities are conducted, initiating mitigation measures when necessary.
- Coordinate logistics for timely shipment of equipment to building sites.
- Support site teams for erection and commissioning issues.
- Contribute to claim management and project closure, identifying lessons learned.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in technical functions is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management methods and contract law regulations.
- Experience working in international teams preferred.
- Advanced English and German language skills.
- Initiative and self-motivation.
- High integrity in dealing with others.
A competitive salary based on collective agreement: €46,614.68 per year (minimum), with potential for higher pay based on qualifications and experience.
