Company Overview

We are a leading global company seeking an experienced Operations Controller to support our headquarters controlling team.

This role involves providing critical support for month-end closing, year-end closing, and planning periods, as well as serving as a key contact for system-related questions from our main business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Business

  • Calculate costs for all finished goods, including semi-finished goods, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Forecast costs of goods for new product requests from all countries to inform business decisions.
  • Support the operations department with SAP and drive optimization to improve efficiency.
  • Create Ad-Hoc analysis to provide insights for business stakeholders.

Planning

  • Perform all planning cycles (BP, FRE, SRE, LE) for all RBS cost centers to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Guarantee correct data input in SAP and Oracle HFM to maintain data integrity.
  • Plan HQ costs for all products, including VISIT, to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Month-End Closing

  • Perform/coordinate various checks to ensure correct month-end closing with business partners.
  • Perform production checks and ensure correct inventory levels to maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Creation of management reports and performing analysis, e.g., cost variances, to inform business decisions.

Year-End Closing

  • Coordinate timelines with responsible operations departments to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform year-end revaluation for all materials and be responsible for inventory valuation.

Projects

Be responsible for various projects to drive efficiency further within the organization.

Strategic projects like Copacker Management, Smart Data, Availability Management, Source-to-contract, etc.

Training/Documentation

  • Update all relevant training materials and documentations to ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Support the operations department with needed support/training to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an (operations) controller.

Degree in business administration with a focus on finance/controlling.

Excellent knowledge of German and English.

Experience with SAP ERP (FI/CO, MM/PP, SD), SAP BI, and Oracle Hyperion is beneficial.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create reports & dashboards, providing easy access to business insights.

Knowledge of statistics and statistical computer languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL, etc.) to understand and continuously improve outputs of predictive models-optimization algorithms would be a plus but is not a pre-requisite.

Experience in the area of cost-type and cost-unit controlling.

Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Proactive, self-motivated, self-reliant, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.229 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
