Role Overview
The Academic Program Coordinator at IES Abroad Vienna is integral to the successful management of our academic initiatives. This position oversees a wide array of course offerings, catering to a substantial student body and collaborating with numerous faculty members. The coordinator's responsibilities encompass administrative duties, effective communication, and student support, ensuring a cohesive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Faculty Communication and Engagement:
- Serve as the main point of contact for faculty inquiries, facilitating communication between faculty and the academic team.
- Assist in the organization of academic processes, including scheduling, excursions, and faculty meetings.
- Disseminate important information and academic policies to faculty on behalf of the academic team.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new faculty and conduct orientation sessions prior to the semester.
- Student Advising:
- Provide academic advising support throughout the semester.
- Guide students in understanding academic requirements and course selection.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in an academic or administrative setting.
Requirements:
- A valid work permit for Austria.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
