Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative automation hardware and software solutions for our plant projects
  • Define specifications for automation equipment
  • Collaborate and evaluate interfaces with process equipment and MES applications
  • Engage in HAZOP and LOPA studies
  • Address cybersecurity requirements and solutions
  • Work closely with project management, piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, and electrical disciplines during both proposal and engineering phases
  • Serve as the liaison to automation hardware and software engineers
  • Oversee hardware and software Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs)
  • Contribute to commissioning, start-up, and optimization processes

Qualifications:

  • Degree in automation or process engineering
  • At least five years of experience in automation hardware and software design
  • Familiarity with various industry control systems, including Siemens PCS7, and programming knowledge is advantageous
  • Understanding of substation systems, with experience in protocols such as IEC61850 being beneficial
  • Ability to consult with clients and suppliers regarding technical design specifications
  • Proficient in articulating design solutions
  • Strong communication, analytical, and planning abilities
  • Customer-oriented with proactive decision-making skills
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus
  • Willingness to travel at least five days per month
