Sustainable Energy Transition Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Decarbonization Project Manager to join our team at Ramboll. As a key member of our energy transition team, you will play a crucial role in driving the decarbonization of Vienna, one of Europe's most vibrant cities.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing diverse projects within the energy transition sector, with a focus on decarbonizing the city of Vienna by 2040. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive project plans for alternative/green energy plant construction.
- Establishing clear communication channels with stakeholders, fostering collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- IDentifying and mitigating risks associated with power generation projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Overseeing quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Managing project budgets, implementing cost control measures, and providing regular financial reports to stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Process/Energy/Environmental) or related field.
- Solid experience managing projects within the energy sector.
- Good knowledge of project management related to energy transition projects, such as clean energy power plant design/construction, conversion of fossil fuel power plants, district heating/cooling systems, smart grids, energy storage, CCUS.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English; German preferable.
- A deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions.
