About the Role:
Kapsch TrafficCom is seeking a highly skilled Application Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing 2nd level support for our proprietary applications and COTS components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end support experience for customers, troubleshooting and identifying resolutions for complex issues within defined SLAs.
- Initiate and drive problem management activities, deploying software releases to production and pre-production environments.
- Create and maintain system and service documentation, including knowledge sharing.
- Generate application performance reports using availability and performance management toolset.
- Foster interaction and collaboration with customers, internal teams, development, and 3rd parties.
- Contribute to project-specific tasks with/without technical lead function.
- Continuously improve system quality and efficiency in areas of application monitoring, overall system architecture, backup and roll-back plans, performance tuning, and testing.
Requirements:
- Higher education with an IT background (University degree is an asset).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application management in complex environments (ideally in intelligent mobility solutions).
- Experienced with state-of-the-art system environments of common vendors, including infrastructure services, virtualization, PaaS/SaaS, and related monitoring and orchestration platforms.
- Experienced with transitioning legacy environments into PaaS/SaaS-oriented architectures.
- ITIL v3/v4 or similar IT certification is required.
- Creative team player with good communication skills, analytical thinking, and outcome-focused personality.
- Business fluent in English and German (both written and oral).
