About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team at DHL Air Austria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the airline's financial function, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management board.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for driving financial performance, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our international teams, develop business cases, and ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our airline and contributing to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and control the financial function of DHL Air Austria, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the management board, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability.
- Lead the development of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in accounting and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other financial software applications.
