Cybersecurity Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly qualified Cybersecurity Research Specialist to join our team at the Department of Computer Science. This postdoctoral position offers an exciting opportunity to conduct high-quality research in information security, digital forensics, and privacy.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out independent research activities in the field of cybersecurity, focusing on information security, digital forensics, and privacy.
- Design and teach courses, including examinations, to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Supervise students, including bachelor's thesis supervision, and participate in organizational and administrative tasks.
- Engage in continuing education and stay updated on the latest developments in cybersecurity.
- A completed relevant doctoral or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge in selected areas of information security, digital forensics, and privacy.
- Proven publication experience and teaching skills.
- Creativity and implementation skills, with a willingness to familiarize yourself with new complex topics and tools.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
- Prior experience in software development, especially open-source development, is an advantage.
- German language skills are also an advantage.
- Leadership skills in dealing with student employees and/or project staff.
- Effective communication skills for supervising students.
- Enthusiasm for university research and a strong work ethic.
The minimum gross salary for this position amounts to € 4,752 per month (14 times), as stipulated by the collective agreement. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer flexible working hours, a family-friendly work environment, and attractive training and development opportunities.
