Combine your extensive mine planning experience as a Mining Engineer, Geologist, Surveyor or other mining professional along with your exceptional interpersonal and commercial skills to oversee and grow Deswik's customer base in WA.
Given Deswik's global reach, there will be some travel.
The preferred location for this position is Perth, and we would also consider candidates based in Brisbane or Adelaide.
What You'll Do : Develop new business, draft proposals and negotiate contractsBuild collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders, including site technical teams, managers, and corporate executivesSupport the planning and delivery of high-quality software implementations and consulting servicesInnovate in applying Deswik technology (including our enterprise solutions) to solve complex mining problemsExceed customer expectations by delivering increased value from existing investments and building genuine partnershipsManage customer relationships professionally, addressing any issues or concerns promptlyEngage in global knowledge sharing with our team of over 100 mining consultants and technical sales professionals.Benefits : Annual Performance BonusFlexible, hybrid schedule (2 days from home, 3 days in the office), subject to client and travel requirementsOpportunity to display your expertise in both people and technologyYou will be trusted to do your job and have support when you need it.About You : You have held previous sales or customer relationship management roles and dealt with commercial negotiationsDegree-qualified in Mining Engineering, Geology, Survey or similar technical qualification.Significant experience in the mining industry, holding senior technical or operational positionsSolid understanding of site operations and the mining industryUnderstanding of mining engineering and mining technical problemsSkilled in assembling people, technology, and processes to create mine planning systemsCapable of supporting change management in large organizations and delivering value through your people skillsYou have a restless desire for things to be done betterIn your work, you use both EQ and IQ to solve problems and are known for doing what you say you will doYou are great with technology and will become an expert in communicating the value of Deswik solutions (fluency with Deswik tools is a distinct advantage).About Deswik : Deswik is a global team of 400+ experienced mining professionals, software developers and mathematicians working together in order to provide industry-leading technology for our customers across the mine planning value chain.
Our head office is in Brisbane, and we have local consulting offices in Brisbane, Hunter Valley, and Perth.
Globally, we have 14 other offices focused on consulting, software sales, implementation, training, and support.
We produce some of the leading products in our market, and we have a large and engaged end-user community and are used by 600+ companies in over 900 mining operations across the globe.
