Sales Manager / General Manager in Training Company Overview :
A long-established, family-owned business that has been a trusted supplier of high-quality automotive and industrial tools for over 50 years.
Known for its customer-centric approach and tailored solutions, the business is seeking an energetic and experienced sales professional to take on a pivotal role.
The ideal candidate will drive sales success and gradually transition into senior leadership as the current owner steps back from day-to-day operations.

Role Objective :
The Sales Manager will be responsible for continuing and expanding the sales success of the business in the automotive and industrial tools sectors.
The role is designed for a dynamic and positive individual who can successfully secure new sales and then work closely with the owner to develop a deeper understanding of the operational and strategic aspects of the company.
The ultimate goal is for the candidate to grow into a senior leadership position, taking on broader responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities :
Sales & Business Development : Drive sales growth within the automotive and industrial tools markets, focusing on expanding the client base and building strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
Outcome-Driven Approach : Prioritize achieving tangible results, such as increased revenue and profitability.
Focus on delivering "money in the bank" outcomes rather than adhering to rigid processes.
Strategic Sales Initiatives : Implement and manage sales strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring that the business continues to grow in a sustainable and profitable manner.
Operational Learning : Collaborate closely with the owner to gain insights into other aspects of the business, including operations, finance, and strategic planning, as part of the career path towards senior leadership.
Entrepreneurial Leadership : Act as a thinker and a doer, taking proactive steps to seize business opportunities while maintaining a hands-on approach to management.
Client Relationship Management : Focus on maintaining and developing client relationships, ensuring that the company remains a trusted supplier in the automotive and industrial tools markets.
Cultural Fit : Integrate seamlessly into the company's family-oriented and entrepreneurial culture, while introducing fresh ideas and approaches to drive business growth.
Key Attributes & Skills :
Sales Experience : Proven track record in sales, with a background in driving measurable sales outcomes.
Experience in the automotive or industrial tools sectors is highly desirable.
Entrepreneurial and Energetic : Must be an energetic, positive, and personable individual with intellectual curiosity and an analytical mindset.
Family Business Experience : You will have experience working in a small or family-owned business and be comfortable in a close-knit and hands-on environment.
Long-Term Commitment : You are committed to a career path that involves growing into a senior leadership role, with the goal of eventually taking over as the General Manager.
Automotive and Industrial Tools Background : Familiarity with the automotive and industrial tools markets, understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that align with market demands.
Adaptability : Willing to learn different aspects of the business beyond sales, including operations and strategic management.
