About the Organisation: Arts & Cultural Exchange (ACE) champions the transformative power of arts and culture.
Based on Dharug Country in Western Sydney, ACE is dedicated to fostering creativity, diversity, and community engagement through innovative programs and partnerships.
ACE is entering an exciting growth phase and is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Development Manager to join their team.
Guided by the principles of 'First Nations first, diversity and equity ', ACE embodies the values of inclusivity and cultural vibrancy.
Its programs focus on five key pillars: First Nations : Honouring and amplifying Indigenous cultural heritage through traditional knowledge and contemporary artistic practices.
Youth Engagement : Empowering young artists and cultural leaders by providing platforms for their voices.
Multicultural Women : Creating spaces for dialogue, creativity, and empowerment for women from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Neurodivergent Artists and Aged Care : Promoting inclusivity by supporting neurodivergent artists and engaging aged care communities through the arts.
Screen : Exploring storytelling and creativity through screen-based media to challenge and redefine narratives.
About the Role: Reporting to the Executive Director, this greenfields role offers a unique opportunity to develop and lead ACE's fundraising strategy.
Your work will directly contribute to diversifying and strengthening income streams to support ACE's programs and maximise impact.
Key aspects of the role include building a sustainable fundraising strategy from the ground up, cultivating philanthropic relationships with major donors and trusts, and securing new partnerships across the corporate sector.
You'll join a small, dedicated team in a hands-on capacity, reviewing and enhancing fundraising marketing materials, and exploring new streams such as partnerships, major donors, community fundraising and trusts and foundations.
This role provides the freedom to innovate, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and make a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of Western Sydney.
About You: You are a champion for good stories told well.
Your persuasive communication style and deep understanding of the experience of marginalisation will drive successful business development outcomes and new partnership opportunities.
You are looking for an organisation that leverages culture, creativity and the arts to reverse disadvantage and will bring your own passion for this work to support some of Western Sydney's most underrepresented communities.
You are a connector with a desire to collaborate and partner with culturally and linguistically diverse people, organisations, and communities.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a fundraising strategy with a focus on philanthropy, partnerships, and donations.
Identify and secure funding opportunities from philanthropic organisations, corporate partners, and individual donors.
Cultivate relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including philanthropists, businesses, and donors.
Partner with the Executive Director to establish and maintain collaborations with arts philanthropists, corporates, and funding bodies.
Research and identify new income streams and business development opportunities, particularly within the Western Sydney market.
Collaborate on sponsorship initiatives and strategic planning to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.
Develop a workplan that aligns with ACE's objectives and priorities.
Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated success in meeting fundraising revenue targets through relationship management, including major gifts, trusts, and bequests.
Strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to implement initiatives effectively.
Experience designing and delivering successful fundraising campaigns.
Strong written communication, presentation, and attention to detail.
Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects under pressure.
