About Us The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) is the state's peak body for lawyers.
Representing more than 20,200 members, the LIV's purpose is to foster the rule of law and to promote improvements and developments in the law as it affects the public of Victoria.
The LIV is a non-profit organisation dedicated to its members and the development, maintenance, and sustenance of the law for the benefit of the community.
About you and about the role The Learning & Organisational Development Partner plays a key role as a member of the People and Culture team, providing strategic advice on learning and organisational development (OD) initiatives.
This role focuses on leading the development and implementation of activities related to engagement, development, workforce planning, capability development, succession planning, and health and safety, including psychological safety and wellbeing.
You will be an experienced learning and development expert, designing, delivering, and evaluating a range of solutions, practiced at consulting with different levels of managers across the organisation to grow and nurture capability.
These solutions could form part of a workshop that you will facilitate or the commissioning of bespoke interventions to meet specific team needs.
The role will also require you to develop and deploy OD interventions.
These will sometimes form part of the LIV's strategy (examples might include improving employee engagement, development of a Managers Induction program, or conducting a culture diagnostic) or you might find yourself working as an internal consultant supporting an individual team or division.
Coaching will play an important part in your toolkit, and you will be comfortable in the blended learning space and will play an important role in maximizing the LIV's continued cultural journey.
Key Responsibilities Include Work with the Head of P&C to develop an organisation-wide L&D strategy that enables the LIV Strategic Plan.Build the L&D capacity within the organisation by managing the effective rollout of program content defined by capability and skills frameworks and any other needs identification or gap analyses.Evolve our Learning and Development programs; building on the blended learning approach and encouraging individuals to self-develop.Promote development – identify with managers the opportunity to upskill and prepare the internal workforce for future moves.To be successful in this role you will have: A relevant degree in Organisational Development, Psychology, or a related field.Coaching or Mentoring qualification or Licensed psychometric practitioner is desirable.Excellent understanding of learning design principles; understands learning styles and how to apply that to developing learning content that is relevant, accessible, and engaging.Excellent facilitation skills, including the running of group discussions and listening events.Experience of scoping out Learning & Development requirements via skills gap and training needs analysis to identify and build capability and performance.Familiar with the 70/20/10 principle.Coaching and influencing managers to solve issues.Experienced in developing and delivering blended approaches to learning.Demonstrated ability to lead and implement cross-organisational change initiatives.Strong strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills to conduct analysis and make relevant recommendations.Highly developed interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.The LIV encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander origin, LGBTIQ+ communities, and from diverse cultures, language groups, and people with disabilities.
