The role requires a sound understanding of our various manufacturing and production operations; both in product and processes.
Securing fit for purpose ingredient items whilst maintaining product consistency and integrity.
Ensuring that manufactured products meet market requirements whilst enabling production to achieve industry related margins.
The position will be based in Girraween, Sydney reporting to the Purchasing Manager of Manufacturing.
The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in the following areas: NPD management and NPD register for timeous introduction of products to the businessSourcing of suppliers globally & domestically to supply agreed products, within purchasing standards, whilst achieving suitable margins at both production and branch levelNegotiation of supply contracts to meet with production planning schedulesWork with procurement team to maintain effective supplier relationsManagement of inventory levels to achieve agreed stock turns whilst ensuring all products have continuity of supplyFormal, communication and resolution of product related quality issues with suppliers and the Bidfood purchasing teamAttend relevant trade shows to keep the business on track with category NPD & trendsContinuing professional and personal developmentMonitor and report on competitor activities and market overviewsIdentify potential stock issues and apply practical solutionsOn a daily basis you will be: Negotiating supply contracts to meet production planning schedulesReplenishing stock holdingsIssuing of stock to production rooms and involvement in stock controlCultivate effective working relationships with:quality managerssuppliers with product related mattersprocurement teamBidfood can offer you: Staff discounted Pricing on 6000+ itemsAccess to online workforce development programsTeam member access to Corporate Health Plans and other staff benefitsEmployee Assistance programs to support Staff and their familiesIf you believe you are the right person to join our team, please apply with your cover letter and current resume.
