About QT Sydney Nestled within the historic former Gowings department store and historic StateTheatre, QT Sydney entwines the intrigue and excitement of the past with an edgy designer art deco hotel.
Position Overview The Chief of Operations for Stewarding at QT Sydney will be responsible for overseeing the full scope of stewarding operations across all dining venues, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with the brand's high standards.
This role demands a hands-on leader with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, capable of optimising workflow, managing costs, and upholding safety and sanitation standards.
You will play a critical role in creating a seamless and exceptional experience for guests and staff alike, contributing directly to the luxury ambiance of QT Sydney.
Key Responsibilities Stewarding Operations ManagementOversee all daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring efficient workflow, cleanliness, and organisation.Develop and implement cleaning and sanitation schedules across all QT Sydney's dining venues, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, dishware, glassware, and equipment to ensure smooth, uninterrupted service.Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing stewarding team, fostering a collaborative, positive work environment.Lead by example, upholding QT Sydney's luxury brand standards, safety protocols, and work ethics.Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing coaching and feedback to improve team performance.Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including HACCP, WHS, and local health guidelines.Develop and implement SOPs that promote a safe and clean work environment.Conduct regular inspections and audits of all stewarding activities and ensure immediate corrective actions are taken when necessary.Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support seamless service and adapt to varying business demands.Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment on events, special occasions, and hotel-wide requirements.Support executive leadership by providing regular updates on stewarding operations and any areas needing improvement.Experience 3+ years in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment, preferably in a managerial position.Cleaning experience preferred.Skills Strong leadership and team-building abilities.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hospitality.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to dynamic work environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
