The Opportunity: As the Payroll Services Manager, you will lead and oversee the payroll function across Australia & New Zealand, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payroll for all employees.
You will manage a team of payroll professionals and work closely with P&C, Finance, and other key departments to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency.
This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of payroll processing and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Payroll Services team of 6, including facilitating team meetings, conducting one-on-one check-ins, overseeing performance cycles, and managing leave requests.Serve as the primary escalation point for all payroll-related issues.Manage the team's workflow to ensure operational efficiency and the timely completion of payroll tasks in alignment with business needs.Ensure the payroll team consistently delivers outstanding customer service by promptly addressing pay-related inquiries and maintaining high-quality service standards.Develop and implement risk management and business continuity plans to safeguard payroll operations and ensure seamless service delivery under all circumstances.Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.What's in for the future? Role Located: Fairfield, NSW
What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Extensive experience in payroll processing, within a supervisory or managerial role.In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations.Experience with payroll software such as SAP ECC6, CATS, and SuccessFactors is preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or similar certification will be advantageous.Ready to get started?
