A highly regarded national professional services organisation, located in the Melbourne CBD, is seeking an experienced Finance Officer for a temporary 7-8 week contract.
In this role, you will manage the settlements and transactional finance tasks within the retirement village space.
The Role As a Finance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of financial operations, including resident exit payments, trust account management, and financial reporting.
This Finance Officer position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams while working with purpose-driven systems and processes.
Daily Responsibilities Resident Exit Payments : Prepare and process exit payments in line with legislation and company policies, collaborating with legal, client liaison, and finance teams.
Trust Account Management : Maintain compliance with state-specific Real Estate Acts, process transactions, and manage reconciliations.
Reconciliations & Reporting : Support balance sheet reconciliations, internal and external audits, and financial reporting for VIC, NSW, and QLD regions.
Commercial Support : Provide accurate disclosure statements and organise payment approvals for buybacks, turnovers, and resident accommodation payments.
Aged Care Payments : Facilitate RAD/DAP payments to external aged care facilities when required.
System Access & Compliance : Work with platforms like Epicor, and others to ensure efficient, compliant financial operations.
What You'll Bring Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Experience in financial processes, reconciliations, or trust account management.
Knowledge of relevant state legislation in the aged care and retirement living sectors is a plus.
Confidence using financial systems and collaborating across teams.
