Nestled at the prestigious 'Paris' end of Spring Street in Melbourne, we offer a unique experience where old-world sophistication meets modern-day excellence.
At the heart of our hotel is One Eleven , a historic dining destination celebrated as the 'Home of Afternoon Tea.'
By day, we serve à la carte breakfasts; by afternoon, we transform into a hub of elegance, presenting Melbourne's most celebrated afternoon tea experience.
Our hospitality group includes premium venues such as Aru and Sunda, both hatted restaurants, the artisanal Kudo Bakery, and all-day dining brasserie, Antara.
Together, we pride ourselves on delivering unforgettable guest experiences, driven by a passion for innovation, quality, and service excellence.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the team at One Eleven .
This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of one of Melbourne's most prestigious dining venues, setting the standard for luxury and service.
As a key figure in our team, you will inspire and create experiences that delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operations of One Eleven, ensuring seamless service and an exceptional guest experience.
Foster relationships with guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that turns first-time visitors into loyal regulars.
Train, motivate, and mentor your team, equipping them with the skills to excel in their roles and deliver outstanding service.
Manage inventory, sales, and labour costs to achieve profitability targets.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth and cohesive guest journey.
Analyse financial reports, sales trends, and guest feedback to guide decision-making and strategy.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and internal company policies.
What We're Looking For
At least two years of experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager in a premium venue.
Strong expertise in food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
Good knowledge of HIGA (Hospitality Industry General Award) rules and staffing/labour management techniques.
Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
Experience with SevenRooms , Employment Hero and MICROS Simphony systems is advantageous but not essential.
