To continue our ambitious growth, we're seeking an exceptional Group General Manager to guide our journey to the next level.
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to drive the future of Melbourne's dining landscape while leading one of the city's most dynamic hospitality groups.
As Group General Manager , you'll drive the strategic vision of MAMAS Dining Group, overseeing the operations across our diverse portfolio of venues.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is critical to our success and places you at the helm of a fast-paced, innovative, and high-performing organisation.
Your focus will be on:
Growth : Expanding our brand's influence while maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Operational Excellence : Leading teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and set new industry benchmarks.
Financial Performance : Ensuring sustainable growth and profitability across all venues.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Oversee daily operations across multiple venues, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences while driving the group's strategic objectives.
Team Development: Inspire and mentor leadership and venue teams, fostering collaboration and cultivating a high-performing workplace culture that attracts and retains top talent.
Financial Management: Oversee financial performance by managing budgets, forecasting, controlling costs, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
Operational Excellence: Design and standardise systems, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational consistency across all venues.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure strict adherence to WHS&E standards, licensing regulations, and operational policies, safeguarding the group's reputation and operational integrity.
Brand Growth and Innovation: Collaborate with marketing to execute impactful campaigns, analyse guest feedback, and continuously refine offerings to exceed market expectations.
About You
We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is ready to drive the operations of a dynamic, multi-venue hospitality group.
Proven Experience: 5+ years managing multi-venue hospitality operations, ideally within Melbourne's competitive market.
Strategic Financial Expertise: A track record of delivering strong financial outcomes through skilful budgeting, labour cost optimisation, and capital expenditure management.
Guest-Centric Vision: A relentless focus on creating exceptional guest experiences and raising the bar for service excellence.
Inspirational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Industry Insight: Deep understanding of food and beverage trends, cutting-edge operational systems, and compliance best practices.
Entrepreneurial Drive: A creative problem solver with a strategic, solutions-focused approach to navigating challenges and identifying opportunities for growth.
