Bennco Group is an established business providing mining and construction services across Western Australia with four regional offices and an administrative office in Balcatta.
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to work directly under the Chief Financial Officer.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.Prepare monthly financial reports.Analyze financial data and trends to assist the CFO in decision-making processes.Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.Collaborate with auditors to facilitate audit processes and ensure compliance.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.Manage the key financial functions such as AP, AR, and Payroll.
Note, a hands-on approach will be required within these functions.While there may be flexibility for the right candidate, it is expected that applicants will possess the following as a minimum:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.CA/CPA completion, or working towards completion.Previous experience in financial accounting or related roles.Proficiency in Xero (Proficiency in Simpro would be a bonus, but is not essential).Strong skills within all Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.This is a new position within the company.
As such, the successful applicant will work closely with the CFO in shaping the role and will play a significant part in assisting with the structure of the Finance Department.
It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be ready to commence preferably on 6th January 2025, but no later than 13th January 2025.
