Role Maintain buildings, grounds and gardens under the direction of the Business/Facilities Manager or delegate.
Organise equipment for students undertaking environment duty or community service and direct students to the areas determined by the schedule established by the Business/Facilities Manager or delegate.
Monitor that those students have fulfilled the requirements of their duty or service time.
Maintain staff areas including supplies and organise the set-up and operations for events.
Maintain the physical classroom environment and storerooms.
Undertake maintenance to grounds, gardening and cleaning.
General maintenance of locks, furniture and structures.
General electrical work - globe change, check points, check items are current with testing and tagging.
General plumbing - gutters and downpipes cleaning, taps and minor blockages and fixes etc.
Support the Business/Facilities Manager regarding store of stock and equipment related to this position.
Check maintenance and grounds log as per Heathmont College systems and processes.
Maintain Department of Education and Training OHS logs and protocols and procedures as required.
Other duties as requested by the Principal or delegate.
Responsibilities Maintain currency of professional knowledge and skills.
Ensure that the school complies with relevant government regulations and policies.
Comply with OHS requirements and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for self and others.
Fulfill any duties assigned by the Principal or delegate with the relevant ES dimensions of work.
