The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer/Credit Controller to join a close-knit team.
The ledger consists of major accounts, with approximately 200 active accounts to manage.
Key responsibilities include: Banking & allocations, including credit card payments, EFT, and cash banking.
Collection of overdue payments, focusing on reducing DSO.
Providing top-level customer service and promptly investigating discrepancies.
Conducting regular risk reviews and reconciling customer accounts.
Reporting on numbers and disputes throughout the month.
Liaising with mercantile agents as required.
Supporting month-end procedures, including journal entries and reporting.
The Candidate The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in reducing DSO and managing a substantial ledger of key accounts.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent reconciliation skills and an ability to resolve disputes effectively.
Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
A self-motivated attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
Flexibility to work onsite five days per week.
