About us
GB Amos Metal Engineering is a medium sized structural steel fabrication company looking for a full-time Estimating Manager/Contract Admin to join our friendly and hardworking team in Victoria.
Position Required:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimating Manager/Contract Admin.
As the Estimating Manager/Contract Admin, you will be responsible for managing multiple tenders and tender submissions from the "pre-tender" phase through to "handover" to the project team.
You will also be required to conduct thorough reviews of SOW and contracts sent through from clients and be involved in variations and contract administration to assist during project delivery.
Tasks / Responsibilities include: Reporting to Project Manager and DirectorUnderstanding and confirming the scope of worksLiaising with builders and project managersDiscussing requirements with clientsPreparation of cost estimates for tendersReviewing estimates and cost plans created by in-house estimatorReviewing, preparing and submitting tender documents for project handoverFollow-up on contract administration and variations in conjunction with the project teamCompliance documentation in line with quality control systems and SCA requirementsCRM (Client Relationship Management) / Hub SpotEstimating and bid strategySOW and contract reviewEnsuring supplier prices are updated and accurate in estimating softwareRequirements and Skills: Structural steel industry knowledgeConfidence in summarising drawingsAbility to meet deadlinesHigh attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft software applications including MS Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with an emphasis on manipulating Excel spreadsheetsExperience with PDF review/editing software (Bluebeam, Acrobat)Must be living in AustraliaStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective management skills for a small teamDesired Skills (Training available): Experience in using Strumis as estimation/MRP softwareExperience with SCA complianceNegotiation and client relationsAdditional Information: Full-time positionGenerous rate of payGreat team to work withRoom to growRemuneration will depend on your background and skill level.
