Role Overview: Join our dynamic finance team as a Financial Accountant , where you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Your expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and compliance will contribute to Hub Australia's overall financial health.
This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the Head of Finance to develop and execute Hub's financial strategy, align with the overall business plan, and support informed decision-making.
What we're looking for: You are a detail-oriented financial professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for accuracy in financial reporting.
Your ability to collaborate across teams, support audits, and improve financial processes will be essential in maintaining the integrity of Hub Australia's financial data.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, analytical, and eager to contribute to the financial success of a growing organisation.
What your day to day will look like (but not limited to
): Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analysing variances and providing insights.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Contribute to the preparation and submission of tax returns, regulatory filings, and insurance documents.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in financial reporting and systems.
Collaborate with operations and sales teams to support the delinquency process and manage cash flow.
What makes you successful: In this role, you'll expertly manage multiple financial tasks, balancing deadlines and stakeholder needs with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
Your ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, along with your strategic mindset, will be crucial as you contribute to Hub Australia's financial stability and growth.
You will also have: 5+ years of experience in financial accounting or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
Experience with ERP systems, financial software, and advanced Excel skills.
Proven ability to support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
