The Transport Manager is accountable for the transport operation function.
Key deliverables include: Day-to-day operations management.Financials/budgets performance oversight.Customer service delivery and operational performance.Continuous improvement agenda and KPIs management.People leadership and employee relations.Risk and compliance activities.You will focus on: Leading and managing business operations in transport to ensure production standards and customer service requirements are met.Leading the operations team across daily operations and strategic planning cycles, including an efficient labour plan to meet customer demand.Managing and optimizing financial performance against budget for each responsible function.Driving business objectives and KPIs related to labour costs, waste, quality assurance, process efficiencies, and customer satisfaction.Ensuring compliance with customer requirements/specifications on all airline accounts.Responsible for people leadership including recruitment and implementing annual HR activities.Ensuring compliance with HACCP/food quality, Airport Authority Standards, and other relevant standards.Leading lean/continuous and process improvement initiatives.Supporting operational audits to meet compliance requirements and driving key actions to enhance performance.About you: Successful track record in an operational role as a leader within Aviation/In-flight Catering, Manufacturing or Logistics environment.Experience driving compliance in a heavily regulated environment.Leadership and stakeholder management experience within a customer-focused organization with a unionized workforce.Demonstrated experience managing financials, budgets, and P&Ls.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and/or six sigma preferred.Driver's License (MR or HR license).Ability to gain airside work clearance in Australia.IT literacy across several systems and planning technologies.Degree qualified preferred - Business, Logistics or similar.Ability to lead others and build capability, work effectively under pressure, and solve problems strategically.Well-developed communication, written and verbal, influencing and presentation skills.Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.STRICTLY NO AGENCIES Your application will include the following questions:
