Head of Department - Health and Physical Education - Kenmore State High School Education (Organisation site) Metropolitan North Region, Early Childhood and State Schools Division Kenmore State High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join our team as Head of Department (Secondary) with a focus on Health and Physical Education (HPE); on a temporary full-time basis for Term 1 2025, unless otherwise determined.
The successful candidate will be a skilled instructional leader with strong interpersonal skills, organisational skills and curriculum expertise.
You will have a passion for sport and a vision for lifting participation and engagement.
About Kenmore State High School Kenmore State High School is a highly regarded school in the western suburbs of Brisbane.
Founded in 1972, the school has grown to an enrolment of over 2000 students at the commencement of 2024.
The school is located in a very attractive setting on the delightful Moggill Creek.

About the Role You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks: Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
