We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to work both on an individual basis and as a member of a team.
You will adopt a person-centred approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to service users within the care home.
You will provide support and assistance to service users using the re-ablement approach that includes support to service users to maximise and maintain their independence.
This post is responsible for leading the shift, administration of medication, and supporting and guiding other care staff to meet the needs of the residents.
You will undertake a key working role within the service, so should have knowledge and experience of Support Planning, the reviewing process, and Risk Assessing in relation to older people.
Previous experience in a social care setting is essential, and ideally, you will hold an SVQ 3 in Social Care or, as a minimum, hold an SVQ 2 with a willingness to achieve an SVQ 3 in Social Care to enable registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Care Home Service for Adults within 3 years of appointment.

This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
