The People & Culture Manager is overall responsible for people and culture partnering for staff members, the recruitment for staff members and volunteers, and Health & Safety.
Reporting to the GM of People, Performance & Culture, this role plays an integral part in the people and culture strategy supported by a highly competent team.
This fast-moving role requires a people-first approach, business partnering experience, robust talent management experience, and strong organisational and project management skills.
The successful candidate will need to be resilient, capable of managing pressure and working in a dynamically changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for end-to-end People & Culture function reporting to the GM PP&C including strategic initiatives Lead a close-knit talented team encompassing Talent Acquisition, Business Partnering, and Health & Safety Leads and supports staff engagement and culture initiatives to strengthen organisational culture Provides coaching and stakeholder management advice on a broad range of workplace matters including performance management, staff development, and retention strategies Manages the staff and volunteer recruitment of talent capability to deliver community health services and commercial contracts Ensures compliance with Australian workplace law and resolves employment-related issues Lead and implement key project initiatives including a new HRIS Experience and Qualifications:
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent Minimum 10 Years of significant HR experience working in Australia and/or NZ Comprehensive knowledge of best practice and regulations in Human Resources Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation Demonstrated experience in leadership, coaching, and development at all levels Demonstrates strong customer service, business partnership, and collaboration Effective organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure Proven knowledge and experience implementing systems and processes including a HRIS Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and well-developed computer literacy About St John Ambulance NSW:

St John has been delivering first aid and medical support services to the NSW community for over 140 years.
The scope of these services has grown to include:
First aid training, including specialist courses for mental health, high-risk work sites, workplaces, and free first aid training to primary school children Health and medical services, keeping people safe at events right across NSW, ranging from small local gatherings to large scale events Equipping workplaces with high-quality first aid products and services Working alongside emergency services organisations in times of need and disasters Workplace health services such as contracted paramedic services and nursing staff.
