Position Overview This position at the National Gallery requires someone who:

An ability to prepare high-quality, clear, and user-centred guidance, tools, templates, and reporting is also fundamental to this role.
Key Responsibilities This position may be responsible for supporting a combination of National Gallery's activities in:
Council secretariat planning internal audit risk management governance and policy reporting The position of the Governance Advisor is a full-time non-ongoing (one year) role in the Governance team.
The team is known and respected for its approachability, complex problem solving, solution orientation, and professionalism.
You will be working with a team committed to high performance, user-centred service provision, and, most importantly, supporting each other to achieve and succeed.
The key duties of the position include: Assist with a variety of coordination activities including: National Gallery Council and Committee and external advisory group governance and meetings policy development and review internal audit program (including supporting procurement and contract management) business continuity arrangements Provide operational advice to internal stakeholders on application of governance policies and frameworks, and manage the inflow and outflow of information from the team (including managing specific mailboxes and registers) Develop and maintain fit for purpose, efficient and compliant processes and systems to support governance functions Assist in the coordination and production of key agency reports and support planning activities Provide ad-hoc advice and support for teams in conducting project, risk activities and governance activities, as required Other activities, as required, to develop or enhance governance and reporting support services Eligibility Requirements Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the Gallery, you must be an Australian citizen.
