About the Role Our General Ward is a 32-bed General Medical & General Surgical unit, specialising in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT (including paeds), Vascular & Plastics.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources.
You will effectively manage roster processes, allocate duties for nursing staff, proactively increase occupancy where possible and provide a positive, safe, learning environment.
You will be joining a well established team with nurses that really care for quality outcomes.

Your Skills and Experience Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Minimum five (5) years' experience in an acute hospital setting Post-graduate qualifications an advantage Previous experience in a management or senior leadership position Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required Remuneration On offer is a base hourly rate of $62.90 + superannuation based on experience and qualifications.

The Hospital Waverley Private Hospital is a 98 bed acute/surgical facility located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
Waverley Private Hospital has been an active contributor to the healthcare needs of the local communities of Eastern and South Eastern Melbourne since 1972.
At Waverley Private Hospital we have seven operating theatres including a Day Procedure Unit.
Requirements Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
