Manager of Business Unit – Various Trades Location: Junee Correctional Centre
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full Time
Salary: $130,399pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading
Talent Pool Creation for Junee ONLY: Roles do not commence until 1 April 2025, and candidates may be selected from the Talent Pool as that date approaches.
Your Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Manager that is a logical and strategic thinker with robust people and business management experience.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the Business Unit/s to ensure productivity, efficiency, and other commercial objectives are achieved.
As part of this role, you will need to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, assist with business development, and encourage awareness of CSI capability.
The role requires: Supervision and management of staff and inmates by appraising performance of business unit and offering counsel and feedback to ensure that the organisational outcomes are achieved.Strong time management and computer skills.Experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing to deliver key business objectives within set timeframes.Willingness to work across all trade units as required.Manage resources and budget efficiently and effectively to achieve planned outcomes by business units.Maintain duty of care and comply with WHS safety requirements by sustaining a safe work environment for staff, inmates, contractors, and visitors.What we're looking for: As a standout candidate, you will have: Demonstrated management experience in a Commercial Cookery, Supply Chain, Warehouse Logistics, Agriculture, Plumber, Electrician, Mechanical Fitter and/or HVAC environment.Other Licences: Licence required for Electrician, Plumber, HVAC.Proven experience in quality management and business management software e.g., Pronto or similar business management reporting system.Robust communication skills with staff and inmates.Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes (12 weeks paid training).Have or be willing to obtain relevant qualifications in Workplace Training and Assessment as requested by Corrective Services NSW.Essential Requirements: Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.Possess relevant trade or current Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Supply Chain, Warehouse Logistics, Agriculture, Plumber, Electrician, Mechanical Fitter and/or HVAC.What We Offer: A challenging and rewarding career.Flexible, autonomous work environment.Competitive pay and conditions.Training and development opportunities to build and maintain capabilities.Health & Wellbeing and Employee Assistance Programs.We focus on hiring people who share our commitment and goals of inclusion, collaboration, adaptability, courage, and integrity.
