Permanent role - Full Time or Part Time option available for the right candidate.Attractive compensation package and employee benefits.Additional Leave and Work Life Balance days.About the RoleAs the Risk Officer at EMPHN, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and incidents across the organization.
Reporting to the Executive Director - Corporate Services, you will ensure that EMPHN's operations are secure and aligned with best practices in risk management.
This is a vital role to safeguard EMPHN's assets, reputation, sustainability, and the safety of its staff and consumers.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage EMPHN's risk management framework, ensuring cultural and functional alignment.Oversee the annual risk-based internal audit plan and business continuity strategies.Develop and deliver training on risk management practices for internal teams.Maintain and enhance the risk register and incident management systems (e.g., Tickit).Investigate and resolve risk-related incidents, providing detailed reports to the Board and Committees.Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and EMPHN policies.Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the risk function.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Key Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, business, or a related discipline.Proven experience in risk management, preferably in the health sector.Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 Quality Management Systems.Experience with cyber risk assessments (preferred).Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders.Experience in leading and implementing change and improvement initiatives.Proficiency in utilizing risk and incident systems to deliver quality outcomes.About usAt EMPHN, we work collaboratively with partners to enhance the healthcare system for communities in eastern and north-eastern Melbourne.
