Cascade (Australia) Pty Ltd is part of the global Cascade Corporation with our head office located in the USA. This job opportunity will be located at our Brisbane facility. We supply a broad range of quality forklift attachments and accessories for the material handling market.About the roleIf you are a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer and have supervisor experience, this is a great opportunity to have a meaningful input into an exciting engineering project. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in the day-to-day design work. The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):Supervising projects and leading a team of 4 professional engineersBeing involved in the day-to-day design workEngineering material handling products primarily for forklift attachmentsProjects include detail design, engineering calculation and engineering draftingUse the latest design technology – 3D Modelling, FEA, Team Centre, Solid EdgeReview and design hydraulic systems for equipmentPrepare quality documents and reports as requiredWork safely with our skilled engineering team to solve problems and analyse product performanceCommunicating regularly with production, workshop team members, and internal customer service team on engineering projects.Experience and qualifications required for the role:At least 1-2 years supervisory experiencePassionate about design and leading peopleUse of 3D modelling package e.g., Solid Edge or similar; Team CentreKnowledge of FEA software (Ansys) and hydraulics preferableKnowledge of Australian StandardsFantastic research and problem-solving skillsFirst-class communication, organisational and time management skillsExemplary skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office SuiteMBA or Master's DegreePrior experience with manufacturing processesRegistration with Engineers Australia and RPEQWhat we offerCompetitive remuneration packageMonthly productivity bonusOn-the-job training where appropriateModern office and facilitiesEmployee Assistance programExcellent workplace values and cultureOver 50 years operating in AustraliaIf you love to learn, enjoy teamwork and are motivated to succeed, please apply.To apply, please click the APPLY button and attach a cover letter and resume.Your application will include the following questions:How many years of people management experience do you have?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you completed a qualification in mechanical engineering?How many years' experience do you have as an Engineering Supervisor?What's your expected annual base salary?
