Our Culture Book guides what we stand for, how we work, and the values that unite us—because nothing beats winning with a team you genuinely love working with.About the roleWe're growing our government sales team and are looking for someone with an interest in how the government builds and delivers services and innovations to the public to join in the fun.If you are looking for a workplace that is collaborative with a healthy dose of competitiveness, you have found yourself on the right Job Description.You'll be based in our head office in Brisbane and responsible for spreading Askable into areas uncharted - helping to grow our existing roster of government clients across Australia and New Zealand.What you'll doGetting potential users to try (and love) AskableSelling to the full spectrum of Government departments and agencies across the local, state and federal levelsDriving account development & revenue growthWorking jointly with our customers to align their desired outcomes with solution roadmapsBouncing from meetings (both face-to-face and remote)Creating proposals and quotesTraveling interstate in Australia for the odd conferenceCompleting vendor / supplier agreementsWriting brilliant responses to RFQs and ATMs for Government ProjectsAttending events, meetups and conferencesEnsuring that the broader research and product communities know and love AskableSkills and experience you'll bringTo hit the ground running in this role you'll need at least 1-2 years working as a sales exec, account manager (or similar role).It would also be ideal if you have:Experience with sales frameworks. Bonus points if you've read and worked with The Challenger Sale and The Sales Acceleration FormulaExperience working with or in government organisations (as we know government operates a little differently )Experience selling a tech product / software as a serviceThe mindset you'll needWinning with your team: You'll be proud of the individual work you do, but find winning as a team ultimately more fulfilling. This includes having the emotional maturity to give and receive constructive feedback to better the team as a whole.Independence and curiosity: You won't find cabinets full of step-by-step instructions at Askable.
