The Head of People & Culture is responsible for partnering with business leaders, developing and implementing people and culture (P&C) strategies in line with business goals, with a focus on building a positive, engaging workplace.

Job Description What you'll be doing
Partner with leadership and stakeholders to develop and execute P&C strategies in line with business goals Coach and support the P&C team, overseeing payroll, employment-related matters and recruitment for a team of approximately 300 employees nationally Manage the bi-annual goal setting and performance review process and associated bonus scheme (HO) Manage the annual remuneration review and promotion cycle Coordinate L&D initiatives Manage ER, IR related issues WGEA annual reporting Approve monthly and fortnightly payroll including end of financial year STP reporting Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes Support and assist with recruitment practices as required, including salary benchmarking Succession planning and the development of career pathways Manage the benefit, reward and recognition programs Manage all aspects of workers compensation - the Return to Work (RTW) process, claim reconciliation and insurance renewals Prepare reports and complete general administration as required Desired Skills and Experience About You
At least 5 years' experience in a senior P&C generalist or manager role with relevant tertiary qualifications Solid understanding of Australian employment law Demonstrated success in delivering people advice and solutions that meet legal, strategic and operational needs Previous knowledge and experience with HRIS and Payroll (ELMO knowledge an advantage) Creative marketing recruitment experience (preferred) Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills (intermediate to advanced excel skills) Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relationship management Superior organisational and communication skills High attention to detail A flexible approach to work and a good sense of initiative Energetic and ability to work in a fast-paced changing multi-cultural environment A genuine willingness to learn and lead a team of P&C professionals Sound knowledge of the WHS legislation and National Workers Compensation across all states Life at Cheil
