Amcor's 41,000 people generate more than US$13.6 billion in sales from operations that span 212 locations in more than 40 countries.The Amcor Flexible Packaging ANZ business operates from 8 sites across Australia and New Zealand and has a reputation for innovation and excellence achieved through our strong belief in attracting, developing and engaging the best people.Overview of RoleReporting to the Sales Manager – Food & Beverage, the Account Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the achievement of revenue and margin goals by managing existing accounts and identifying and driving new business opportunities via the development of commercially sound business relationships with customers. Developing and building outstanding business relationships with key decision makers, you will be part of a team who are driven to win. The position will develop and grow a portfolio of customers and implement a business growth strategy including sales activity for a given region and product segment.The primary areas of responsibility will span across:Strong sales and project planning skillsEffectively demonstrate, prepare and present a value propositionUnderstand the importance of account commercialsPrepare and execute a negotiation strategyUnderstand the importance of supply chain protocols and contract managementEffective oral and written communication skillsA thorough approach to administrative functionsA sense of urgency is required as is the ability to prioritise. The ability to form and foster outstanding business relationships with key decision-makers internally and externally is critical. You must be savvy, high performing and resilient, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have an ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanour during all communications and be able to prioritise based on managing our customers' demands.You will have clear and successful experience in an Account Management role, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.This is a high-profile role and an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a world-leading organisation. Salary package on offer is dependent on skills and experience of the right individual.
