Join the team at one of the leading public health organisations in Australia About the Role Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare.
It remains one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
To provide palliative care support and education to health care professionals across the facility campus and facilitate best practice clinical care to individual patient palliation and family/carer support.
Ideal Candidate Has current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation. Has demonstrated knowledge and expertise in specialist Palliative Care clinical practices including assessment, planning, treatment management, and clinical leadership underpinned by evidenced based practice. Has demonstrated the ability to effectively liaise, negotiate and act as a resource person for advanced practice to health service providers on Palliative Care related health issues.
