**Our business**

**Your role**: The Head of Geothermal Technical Studies leads the realization of technical Geothermal studies within the Low Carbon Business (LCB) Value Center and herewith enables the sustainable and profitable growth as well as the decarbonization and energy transition of OMV group. This position is a key position in E&P to ensure continued business success and a response to the upcoming climate change challenges, as it builds and leads the technical department that realizes technical Geothermal studies which enable Geothermal business scouting and business development activities within E&P globally.
- Build-up and lead the Geothermal Technical Studies department within the Geothermal Technical Development function in E&P Low Carbon Business
- Contribute to the build-up of the Geothermal Business from a technical development perspective, including contribution to strategy, structure, staffing, processes, regulations, governance, business scouting and business development
- Lead the realization of Geothermal studies internationally and herewith strongly contribute to Geothermal business scouting and business development activities
- Steer selected Geothermal Lead Engineers for both Geothermal surface technology as well as subsurface technology, including G&G (geology, geophysics, geochemistry, formation evaluation), drilling & completion (drilling, completion, production technology, operation geology, testing) and reservoir engineering (reservoir engineering, fluids, geomechanics, modelling)
- Manage the build-up of deep technical expertise on Geothermal focus topics like play-lead-prospects and Geothermal solutions and offtakers and leverage this expertise to deliver growth and value creation for OMV group
- Contribute to steering and prioritizing the global E&P Geothermal Research and Development activities as well as technology piloting, demonstration and roll-out
- Act as leading technical representative for OMV in business scouting activities and as leading technical negotiator of Geothermal projects and joint ventures in the size order of EUR 800 mn +
- Closely align with the SVP Low Carbon Business, the Head of Geothermal Technical Development, Low Carbon Business Management, other relevant E&P Value Centers and Corporate Functions, the Executive Officer E&P and with the rest of the OMV Executive Board
- Build strong internal and external partnerships in the area of Geothermal Technical Development that lead to opportunities like JVs and capital projects, and herewith to growth and value creation for OMV group

**Your profile**:

- University degree Master/Diplom in Geoscience or relevant technical discipline
- Minimum 15 years professional work experience with a strong understanding of existing and new Geothermal technology
- Leadership experience both with direct reports and functional reports
- Extensive knowledge of technical studies development, business scouting and business development activities
- Experience in working with senior management of OMV as well as of external partners
- Profound understanding of energy market trends and underlying drivers as well as of the overall transition of the industry landscape
- In-depth understanding and role model for the purpose-driven, agile and efficient new ways of working that are required to successfully compete versus product competition and production competition in the Low Carbon Business competitive arena
