**Job description and areas of responsibility**
As Engineering Manager of our MarTech/AdTech area - the Monetisation Platform Tribe - you will support Better Collective’s strategic ambition to fully understand, segment, and monetise its 100M+ monthly global user base of sport fans.
The role assumes governance of our MarTech/AdTech stack, its technology vision, strategy and roadmap.
You will work closely with the Monetisation Platform Tribe Lead and our global technology organisation to continuously improve our global MarTech/AdTech domain supporting:

- Data-driven performance marketing
- Our global Ad Server environment
- Data capture and audience segmentation.
**You will be responsible for**
- Management of the maturity, optimization and further enhancement of our existing and future MarTech/AdTech systems within the stack
- Build versus buy decisions within the MarTech/AdTech technology environment
- Plan and design our MarTech/AdTech system portfolio with scale and global reach in mind
- Oversee and expand our technology team to fully understand the MarTech/AdTech technical domain incl. ensuring global and scalable build of systems within the stack and integration of vendor delivered services and tools
- Identifying new opportunities and experiments to drive proof of concepts to improve system integration, implementation time and generate cost efficiencies.
- Key Stakeholder management among i.e. internal global stakeholders, technology vendors, development partners, data and analytics agencies, digital consultancies
**You will bring to the role**
- 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing, data and analytics or ecommerce
- In depth experience in key digital development leadership of Marketing and/or Advertising technology, including direct line management of a team of technical specialists and engineers
- Experience with agile way of working and knowledge of agile governance models
- Ability to hire digital technology talent
- A proven ability to serve as a technical strategic business partner to leadership
- Hands on platform experience across several MarTech/AdTech systems
**What is needed to succeed**:
We imagine that you are fluent in digital, have a university degree within a relevant field, and both a passion for, and work experience within MarTech and/or AdTech. Your technical experience is from an “own built” or a “vendor build” tech environment.
Further to this, you have:

- Strong background in technical elements of digital marketing either within a MarTech role, AdTech role or similar data and analytics/marketing function
- Experience of successfully implementing and capturing commercial value with MarTech platforms (advertising technologies, web analytics, CDP, or paid media campaign management tools)
- Knowledge of first and third-party data utilisation within MarTech tools to deliver personalised experiences, including experience working with SEO and BI teams to deliver value from data assets
- Experience using audience segmentation and predictive models within MarTech platforms
- GDPR knowledge and experience a plus
- Initiative - Passionate about innovation and promoter of bringing new ideas, solutions, and technologies on the table.
- Entrepreneurial spirit - self-starter, ambitious and intrinsically motivated
**Your new team**
You will report to the Engineering Director with a dotted report line to the Tribe Lead of our Monetisation Platform and have managerial responsibilities. We work closely together in Squads and Tribes to deliver value in an agile environment with key inclusion of BI, SEO, Design and DevOps Chapters.
Location wise can this position be based in one of our offices in Copenhagen, London, Lodz (Poland), Nis (Serbia), or Vienna. Travel will be required.
