Laboratory Technician (M/F/d) Molecular Diagnostics
- Center for Health & Bioresources
- In our **Molecular Diagnostics** competence area, we develop innovative testing solutions for health monitoring, early detection, evidence-based interventions, and personalized medicine.
- We develop rapid and mobile point-of-care systems for on-site detection and identification of biomolecules such as proteins, DNA/RNA, and metabolites. To achieve this goal, we combine biochemical assays with biosensing approaches and process automation.
- We are an interdisciplinary team of biologists, physicists, chemists, and engineers who work together in an agile and flexible way at the interface between science and industry.
- You will work on a project for a fast, low-cost, and mobile virus testing system.
- You will perform experiments with novel equipment and validate it against reference methods.
- The main analytical steps will include DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and other amplification methods.
- You will work with biologists and engineers to integrate the biochemical assays into the diagnostic prototype.
- You will be responsible for documenting the experiments and analyzing the data.
- You will report and discuss the results with the project team.
- Your innovative results will contribute to a novel and superior point of care system for infectious diseases.
- The devices will be verified in a clinical setting and exploited by an industrial partner.
- You will establish new analysis protocols for rapid point of care systems in our modern state-of-the-art laboratories.

Your qualifications as an **Ingenious Partner**:

- Training and/or studies and/or laboratory experience in the fields of molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology or similar.
- Motivation to implement novel diagnostic protocols and devices
- Experience with nucleic acid extraction methods and quantitative PCR
- High level of commitment and forward thinking
- Precise documentation of results
- Communication skills in English

**What to expect**:
The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement is EUR 32.102,-. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience.
