DHL Air (Austria) GmbH is a new cargo airline founded in 2021, and is a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) Group. The prime focus of the airline is to operate for the EU network with a fleet of Boeing 757 aircraft. The headquarters of the airline is located in Vienna, main crew base is currently in Leipzig, delivering our customer promise of Excellence. Simply Delivered. During the course of a new project of adding four Boeing 767s to the existing fleet, we’re looking forward to expanding our staff in Vienna.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Development of short
- and long-term plans necessary to accomplish agreed-on goals for areas of responsibility
- Keep up to date with all relevant developments and changes in the respective policies and laws
- Organise meetings to keep track of flight operations support projects and realization of key objectives
- Assist the Senior Director Flight Operations in getting approvals from the authorities, as far as flight operations support is concerned
- Represent the Senior Director Flight Operations in any internal or external meeting, as delegated
- Ensure, by regular checks, that personnel of the Flight Operations Support department are being kept up to date, properly instructed and trained, and that they are aware of their responsibilities and the relationship of such duties to the operations as a whole
- Manages required actions related to the Safety Management System (SMS) for the Flight Operations Support department
- Contributes to investigations in cooperations with the Senior Director Safety Management
- Manage the audit process for Flight Operations Support (e.g. Part-SPA)
- Responsible for the Performance and EFB training and training material
- Responsible for Fuel Saving Strategies and Post Flight Analysis
- Prepare the budget of the Flight Operations Support Department
- Check of Flight Operations Support related invoices in accordance with budget

**YOUR TASKS**:

- Manage the Flight Operations Support department
- Ensure that all Operations Engineering is performed according to aviation requirements, BMK requirements, aircraft manufacturer requirements, ICAO/IATA/EASA standards as well as company policies, standards, regulations and procedures
- Maintain a close co-operation with all relevant departments, authorities and external sources
- Monitor effectiveness and performance of personnel and manpower requirements in his department
- Monitor closely the development of new techniques, procedures and regulations
- Develop documentation, forms, tables, procedures and software solutions to all aspects of flight operation and aircraft performance
- Make sure, that the Electronic Flight Bags (EFB) are updated and serviceable
- Is responsible for all flight operation engineering topics (performance and W&B)
- To represent DHL Air Austria in national and international organisations

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Completed degree program in Engineering, preferably in the area aeronautical engineering, and several years of relevant professional work experience or many years of relevant professional work experience in an airline operational role
- Profound knowledge of aviation standards especially flight operations regulations, operations processes, IOSA
- High English and German language skills in both written and spoken form
- Experience in dealing with aircraft manufacturer documentation
- Proficiency in use of Flight Operations Systems IT tools
- Experience in developing computer-based solutions to engineering problem
- Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
- Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and simple way
- To be highly self-motivated, flexible, can adapt on fast changing situations
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment
- High level of motivation, flexibility and loyalty
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams
- Practical experience with IQSMS and Web Manuals is an advantage
- Able to handle a high workload in a tight timeframe and prioritize tasks effectively
- Collaborative team player who also enjoys working autonomously
