To strengthen our motivated **Group Sustainability Department**headed by Berhard Heneis at our headquarters in **Vienna**, we are looking for a **Carbon and Environmental Expert (M/F/d)**.

**Your Role**:

- You develop and implement strategies and guidelines to reduce the environmental footprint, focusing on carbon management, carbon accounting, decarbonization, water management, and biodiversity preservation
- You focus on carbon management initiatives, including tracking and reducing carbon emissions through carbon accounting and decarbonization efforts.
- You contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and processes to improve environmental performance
- Develop environmental and climate risk management plans and processes, including ongoing monitoring and assessment of key environmental metrics
- You collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring compliance with environmental policies and unlocking synergies as well as enabling best practices exchange
- You foster a sustainable corporate culture by initiating programs and develop and conduct training sessions to raise employee awareness on environmental topics

**Your Profile**:

- You have a university degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability Management, or a related field
- You offer technical competencies and knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001, GHG protocol, SBTi)
- You have min. 3 years of experience in environmental management, ideally within the forestry, paper or packaging industry or a similar production environment
- You have strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and optimize complex processes
- You have experience in implementing environmental strategies, particularly in carbon management, carbon accounting, water management, and biodiversity conservation
- You offer excellent communication and presentation skills in english
