You manage a large agile team and ensure developments are aligned with business needs. We maintain an ever-expanding data ecosystem that ingests and databases extensive experimental data sets. It is our platform for accessing and analysis of standardized data, keeping our stakeholder informed and helping our staff to database all information in a meaningful and time efficient way. This role is at the center of this work.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate a team of software developers. This may include taking on direct reports in the future
- Product Vision: Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with the needs of the scientific community and stakeholders
- Agile Methodologies: Implement and promote agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, to enhance team productivity, flexibility, and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders, including scientists, researchers, and other end-users, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and provide regular updates on product progress
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the development process to ensure high-quality deliverables, including conducting regular code reviews, testing, and validation to meet scientific standards
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance metrics and user feedback and facilitate adjustments to the product development process

- For an employment in Austria: We offer you an income based on your qualifications and market conditions, with a minimum annual gross salary of €65.000 on fulltime basis.

**You bring**
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus
- Good understanding of data management practice, digital infrastructure (e.g. AWS), code pipelines/workflows, databases (relational databases, graph databases, CDISC/SEND format) and visualization tools (PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data product management, with at least 3 years in an agile environment. Proven track record of successfully managing software development projects for backend and frontend solutions
- Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills, especially in languages spoken by the scientific community, such as German or French, are advantageous
- Strong understanding of software development processes, including experience with agile tools (e.g., JIRA). Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js) is beneficial
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality products
- Ability to demonstrate past project successes through portfolio reviews or case studies. Proficiency in agile methodologies can be assessed through practical tests or scenario-based interviews. Communication and leadership skills can be evaluated through behavioral interviews and references.
