EUC Engineer L1

We are seeking a EUC Engineer (L1) to join our Digital Workplace team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational administration and basic configuration of our endpoint management and virtualization platforms. You will ensure our end-user computing environment is stable, secure, and efficiently delivered, providing escalated support and executing standardized changes. Key Responsibilities
Endpoint Management & Operations (Primary Focus):

Provide 1st level escalated support for complex endpoint issues related to management agents, policy conflicts, application delivery, and OS deployment failures.

Execute routine operational tasks within our Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) environments, such as:

Adding devices to security groups and deployment collections.

Monitoring and troubleshooting application and update deployment statuses.

Performing basic administrative tasks for Azure Active Directory and Entra ID (e.g., group management, user license assignment).

Assist in the creation and testing of standard operating system images and task sequences.

Support the Windows Autopilot process for new device provisioning.

Application Packaging & Deployment
Under the guidance of senior engineers, use tools like the Microsoft Win32 Content Prep Tool to package simple, non-complex applications for deployment via Intune.

Assist in testing packaged applications in isolated environments before broad deployment.

Manage basic software update rings and quality update deployments in Intune.

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Support
Provide operational support for our Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or VMware Horizon environment, including:

Monitoring pool health and user connection status.

Assisting with user profile and personalization issues.

Executing predefined scripts for session host maintenance.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in desktop engineering, or EUC role. Candidates with strong 1st line experience and demonstrable hands-on project work with EUC tools will be considered.

Technical Proficiency (Must Have)
Hands-on administrative experience with Microsoft Intune for managing Windows 10/11 endpoints.

Practical understanding of Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.

Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows OS (Group Policy, registry, event logs).

Basic knowledge of PowerShell for task automation and reporting.

Understanding of core networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

Technical Proficiency (Nice To Have)
Exposure to Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).

Familiarity with Windows Autopilot and modern deployment methods.

Basic understanding of VDI concepts (AVD, VMware Horizon, Citrix).

Experience with JAMF for macOS management is a strong plus.
